Forget what you read.
This is what really happened.
Not long before Bella's eighteenth birthday party, Rosalie cornered Bella with a claim they needed to talk. Bella thought perhaps Rosalie was starting to warm up to her, but rather then a nice little chat, the blonde vampire informed her that Edward was growing tired of Bella and that he was waiting for the right moment to get rid of her. Heart broken, Bella took off back to Arizona with her mom. Edward was furious, but there wasn't anything he could do about it.
Believe it or not, life went on for every body. But three years later, Bella returned. Charlie got injured at work, and he needed some one there to take care of him. The Cullens heard of her return, and Edward soon was reunited with her. Bella and Edward were back to being a couple, much to the dismay of Rosalie and Jasper.
Aro of course knew of Bella's return, and he paid a visit to the Edward. The deal was still on, Bella was to be changed or killed, Edward assured Aro that she was going to be changed. The Volturi leader was satisfied with that answer, and left the Cullens to their lives, or so they thought. He left a spy to watch them.
Shortly after Aro's visit to the Cullens, a new tribe moved in next door to the Quiluetes. The Zuutaea tribe. The new tribe were shifters as well, but that is where the similarities between the two tribes stopped. The Zuuateans were almost the opposites of the wolf shifters, their skin and hair was light, the shifters were all female with one male, even the normal humans of the tribe knew of the shifters. The two Alphas met and discussed a treaty between the two, the Zuutaeans refused to fight unless they need to. Aro soon visited the Zuutaea Alpha, and a gift was bestowed of a necklace and tickets to Italy.
As if enough stuff wasn't happening, a new group of people came in to town, the Children of the Moon. The Children of the Moon are real werewolves, ones who change only during the full moon. They want only peace, sanctuary from the Volturi, and mates. Shortly after their arrival, a new coven of crimson vampires came to town, with only one goal, to annoy the Cullens. It seems like a petty goal, that is until you meet the leader.
