When Bella and Edward returned from Volterra, they thought everything would just fit back together, they thought everything would go back to normal.
Oh, how wrong they were.
When Edward left her, Bella clung to Jacob, and whether intentional or not they bonded and there blossomed a relationship of sorts. With Edward home, it made things a bit more complicated, but they tried for months to make things return to normal. It just wasn't working. For one reason or another, Bella felt that her heart belonged to both men. Once October came around Bella's last year of high school began, but while Edward drove her to school Jacob picked her up afterward, where she would hang around with the pack for hours before Edward would bring her home. She couldn't decide and for the time being neither of them pressured her into a decision. It was only a matter of time, however, before Victoria would strike. She struck in the form of Riley, grabbing items of her clothing to lead other newborns to her scent, though she had no clue as to what was going on. Alice was no help, as the more time she spent with the wolves the more cloudy her visions of Bella became.
Jake had the idea of her staying in La Push with him and the pack for a while, something her father readily agreed to, though Bella was somewhat reluctant. Eventually Jake convinced her, and without thinking to alert Edward she was whisked away to La Push. During this time, Bella and Jake grew even closer, though she still couldn't say that he had her whole heart. She avoided school for a couple of weeks and the Cullens didn't know where she had run off to. Once Edward finally asked Charlie about Bella's whereabouts, things went downhill. Edward was furious at Jacob for taking her in such a hurry, but he couldn't fault Bella for wanting to be safe. He was hurt that she neglected to infrom him. Was this her way of making her decision known? After finally speaking to The Pack and Bella, a decision was made; the wolves would hold on to Bella whilst the Cullens tracked Victoria.
Victoria and Riley had created an army of newborns, to take down Bella and the Cullens. She was unaware of the wolves for quite some time, but now she was ready. Her army was set in place, Riley itching to get his hands on Edward. He was the perfect distraction, so Victoria could finally get revenge and rip Bella to shreds. She mourned her love, James, everyday and she would stop at nothing to avenge him. Riley was so smitten with Victoria there was no doubt in his mind that his act would seal him in her heart forever. The newborns are starting to figure out what they're being used for, and they're not sure they like the idea anymore, but Victoria isn't having any of it. They're meant to distract the wolves and the other vampires, and they'll do just that. She isn't stupid, she knows she has to lure Bella out of La Push if she wants to get her hands on her, but she isn't sure how to do that just yet.
All the while, the Volturi are far from pleased. The only reason Victoria is allowed to live is because she's capable of cleaning up her mess afterward, and they're hoping she decreases the number of the Cullen family so they have less to worry about. Still, they're impatiently waiting for the change of Bella Swan. With news that she may not turn after all, they are getting restless. They know nothing of shifters, just of werewolves and with the news of her involvement with a wolf, they're planning to strike. Bella must be changed and the wolves must be taken out. Edward and Alice must be recruited. Everything has to be done swiftly, and soon, because Aro is not a patient man.
Who will Bella choose? What will happen to the newborn army if they get out of control? How much longer with the Volturi wait?
All will be revealed, as the world dies.
