Led by the Blessed Prophet Halston Ledger and his FBHD council, the citizens of Jeden’s Daly are bred to honor and cherish the values of home, hearth, and traditional family values. Modern technology, the root of all that is evil, is forbidden, and citizens embrace a lifestyle similar to that of the 1800s. Polygamy, known in town as “the Divine Principle”, is seen as the perfect solution to the procreation of boys. Men, all of whom are extremely few in number, see to providing for their expansive family while their numerous wives care for the children and support one another in consistent pregnancies.
And though the sun is bright and the rainbows are plentiful, no boundaries can ever be crossed for the men. Male dominance remains unquestioned. The submission of women and children are expected. And with just the right connections, it never takes much to destroy the livelihood of even your greatest rival.
