THE PLOT
With cruelty and force, the Volturi have long reigned self appointed kings of the supernatural world. Dominating all vampires with their unjust rulings and often punishing those who had done no wrong, they had made themselves many an enemy. But now, all those resentful of the Volturi’s rule, are being united under one name: The Aphotic, whose sole cause is to eliminate the Volturi and take their power for themselves. Vampires, Shapeshifters, Children of the Moon, and humans alike are all being recruited for the cause whether by force, or their own will. The Aphotic are just as cruel and ruthless as the Volturi and they seek out the talented and strong to swell their ranks with as many powerful soldiers as possible. The reluctant are forced to stay and fight despite what they may truly want.
THE OLYMPIC COVEN The Cullen's and their assorted family members thought the impending threat of the Volturi was back, but they have heard whispered rumors that another coven has been sweeping through Seattle, one that is far more blood thirsty than Victoria had ever been. But whats to fear if you have no clue as to what your really up against. And now, despite their sordid past with the Volturi, they have reluctantly decided to join forces with them against the Aphotic, even if they do not see eye to eye to say the least. The Aphotic are based in Seattle and have grown swiftly recently. In such close proximity to the growing coven, the Cullen's are constantly anxious of the threat of attack.
THE QUILEUTE SHIFTERS In the last year their packs have swollen in size, something to do with an abundance of vampire sightings in the area. Seems that forks Washington has become the new vampire capital of the world, who needs a special city in Italy where there are plenty of ripe little fleshies just fresh for the picking? Well not if the wolves have anything to say about it. The pack split in too, not that there are any harsh feelings for it on the surface, but the wolves seem to be growing far more hostile towards each other as of late, not enough vampires for them to kill, but they know there there. After the re-writing of the treaty the wolves patrol more than just the Quiluete land now, but how long can laid back Jacob's pack keep Sam’s hostile pups in tow?
THE VOLTURI Over the past year they have been plotting their revenge against the Cullen family. Seeking out and murdering their witnesses in the last war. They must prove that they have not grown weak and futile, though there are many in their very own ranks that are beginning to question their master Aro’s leadership. Has he grown incompetent with time? One might think such because his action seem to be growing more and more drastic, he wants to collect what he believes is rightfully his and he will do nothing until those member of the Cullen coven rest within his ranks. Even over look the impending threat, the rumors he keeps hearing out of Seattle, that there is to be an uprising. The Volturi dare any of those who think this to dare and challenge them, for the Volturi are all high and mighty on their thrones in volterra, safe inside their city walls, or so they seem to think.
WEREWOLVESThey’re growing more and more restless for their revenge against the Volturi as the past year wore on. The werewolves are hungry for the blood dept that they are owe, and as they lay in wait for the perfect time to strike their leader was approached by a vampire, but he was no Volturi he was far older than that. He whispered to them of promised blood and of dept. Repaid if only he could seek they’re help in his blood war. The werewolves were far more than happy to oblige, they had been waiting millenia for this after the Volturi did everything within their deemable power to slaughter every member of their species. The werewolves will not let it happen again, not with the Aphotic on their side, no this time the blood war will be there and they will sit high on the thrones of Volterra, as they have been promised, or will they?
APHOTIC The Aphotic are an organization of rebellious vampires, humans (in the know,) and werewolves wishing to take down the Volturi. It has switched ownership several times. Currently the head of the Aphotic is none other than Carmen Lawton, an incredibly vicious petite vampire set on the destruction of the volturi after losing her twin sister to them. More often than not fights breakout, and general anarchy among the members tends to ensue. Quite a lot of the members are newly made vampires, and/or kidnapped, powerful vampires. While there have been battles and skirmishes between members of the Volturi and members of the Aphotic, in the past, the sound of drums seems to be coming ever closer, as war threatens to break out.
HUMANS FIGHTING BACK A very small group of humans are beginning to arm themselves and making their way to Forks, Washington to join into the fight. These humans call themselves 'Hunters' and these hunters are more powerful than the supernatural world believed them to be. There are equipped with Dead Man's Blood that's strong enough to render a vampire in pain and making them paralyzed for ten minutes; long enough for the Hunters to bring out their strongest of weapons and destroy the vampires. They're even physically strong enough to take on a shapeshifter and have found the very element to use against the werewolves that are beginning to make their comeback after the Aphotic's arrival into the Tri-County Area. They have kept themselves hidden from the realm of reality after their horrible defeat by the hand of the Volturi centuries of years ago. With the war between the Hunters and Volturi buried beneath the supernatural history books, they're making their comeback and making sure that they, too, get their chance at defeating or helping another war that's beginning to threaten and shake the world's reality as we know.
