OVERALL: Because of the suffering she went through in her human life and especially on the stake, Jane turned out to be completely evil. She will show no mercy on a victim or in general. All she ever does is feed on humans – which she has no sympathy for, and following orders. She does not acknowledge compassion or sympathy towards the weak, she believes it’s a world where you either eat or get eaten. she is, after all, a soldier. The Volturi have many soldiers and "muscle" Vampires, though Felix, Jane and Alex are considered their secret weapons and ranked high in the command chain. She was made and trained to complete missions and orders. There wasn’t a time when Jane didn’t finish a job or failed to protect her master – Aro. Though she is also considered a bodyguard for Marcus and Caius.
Jane doesn't like it when things don’t turn out easily and smoothly as she wishes. She's got a short temper and a switch you could easily turn on. She gets bored quickly and feels that at her age – she has already seen everything and cannot be surprised by anything. She doesn’t like to wait, and even though she's got eternity ahead she isn’t someone who likes to take their time. when she fails, Jane can easily turn infuriating and deadly, she despises failure more than anything. She only looks composed and reserved, but the truth is Jane is like a volcano - her anger can be awaken and you never know when it will attack. People would often think she's the mean twin, but Alec is just as evil. Only that Jane is more fierce when it comes to displaying her emotions and Alec is more indifferent.
Aro's opinion matters to her tremendously, and when Aro seems to be fascinated and enthusiastic by Alice's and Bella's gifts, Jane feels neglected by her master and overshadowed by the strangers. She always feels the need to compete and win Aro's attention. This impulse might occur due to a certain insecurity she has about her place. She feels like she always has to show some kind of leadership among the soldiers that are under Aro, Caius and Marcus, and that she has to keep proving herself every day. the only person who gets a glimpse into Jane's tender side, the one she has a soft spot for – is her twin brother. Her relationship with Alec isn’t the healthiest, most standard relationship siblings and twins usually have – but Jane doesn’t care. She loves her brother, she will do anything for him, and she also feels a bit protective of him since she is a few minutes older. He is the only one she allows herself to be open with and really let her emotions flow with. She also has a tremendous amount of respect towards the three leaders, but that’s not love.

OTHERS OF IMPORTANCE: none
OVERALL HISTORY: Born in a completely different era, Jane had numerous opportunities to see the world transforms, evolves and recreate itself over and over again. Her father was a soldier, and her mother was an Anglo-Saxon housewife like many others at that time. Only several minutes after Jane was born, she gave birth to her baby boy twin – Alec. And ever since they left their mother's womb, Alec and Jane were inseparable. Up until the age that they were transformed, they have never left the village they were born in. When together, they were like a wild fire. They were feeding and completing each other, and within them – they had a whole world of their own. They didn’t need anyone else. The other children used to tease and pick on them for their incredibly close relationship, and quickly they became outcasts. Jane never felt the need to run around and play with the other girls. Her brother was always enough to keep her busy and entertained. Their log cabin was located on a green mountain, in the springtime they couldn’t see their feet as the knee-high, derry down green herbage swallowed their short legs. It was a true, ideal heaven to grow up in. The pastoral views surrounded them with peace and happiness for their first years, until they started to reach puberty. Something was always off about the twins, or at least that was what the people thought. They grew up in times when people were haunted and persecuted, even if the slightest suspicion or relation to witchcraft deeds was brought up. As the twins grew, a dark force grew within them as well. Something that couldn’t be explained or described by human language. It wasn’t controllable, but they felt it – and so did everyone else. One time, Jane was sent by her mother on a quick trip to a near-by fair, just to bring home some groceries. As soon as the things were placed in the basket her mother gave her, a nomad approached her and reached to snatch the basket. Retreating skillfully, Jane's petite frame was taken aback by the stranger, and suddenly he tripped backwards and was staked by a scythe. The superstitious village witnessed a few more incidents of that sort, involving Jane and Alec, before they finally reached an agreement among them. They have decided to burn the witch twins, as they called them, at the stake. A few of the village's finest men climbed up the hill, carrying torches and weapons, getting ready to kill and destroy. They burned their house to the ground and killed their parents, accusing them for bringing such malevolent creatures to this world.
The flames were beginning to consume their human bodies, and just then, it was that Aro stepped in. He sabotaged their execution, knowing this must be the time. Aro was waiting all along, ever since they were babies. He was well aware of the twins' hidden and unexplainable "gifts" – and watched as they evolved in time. The curiosity to see what happens if and when they turn had finally gotten the best of him. When the two were turned, as newborns, their power was practically limitless. Vampires are known to be the most powerful at their adaptation phase, right after they are turned. They are wild and careless, all they can see in front of them is blood and more blood. Jane and her twin brother were no different than any other newborn, the hunger and overly temperate personality were hard to maintain. Only that the Volturi always kept them restraint and under control – never forgetting the plan they had for the two. The blood and gore festivals were reaching a new level when Jane and Alec were turned, they were passionate, curious and above all – insatiable. Aro brought them to Volterra, Italy. The ancient city was fascinating in their eyes, the culture and beautiful architecture all around kept them busy and distracted for decades. They have dedicated themselves to the learning of science, arts, and history. The Volturi taught them everything they knew, and Jane and Alec, in exchange – embraced and accepted their lifestyle. The rules were strict and crystal clear – no conspicuous killings or conspicuous existences. Their true identity must be kept a secret for good. The Volturi lived in a very ancient spacious castle at that time, and it was only natural that the twins would move in as well – so Aro, Caius and Marcus would be able to keep an eye on them all the time.
The twins became the most valuable weapon in the Volturi's possession. They were well aware of every living vampire on the face of the earth, because they set the rules, they were like royalty – they enforced the law. And they knew these magnificent psychic powers, were going to be extremely useful on their side. The twins were trained to be fiercely loyal to the family and their breed in general, to enforce the law and serve their master and creator (Aro) as best as possible. Nowadays, the Volturi are living under cover in an alleged museum, still in Volterra. Instead of going out in the sunlight when they are hungry and need to hunt, they have found a sophisticated way to feed. The "museum" attracts a lot of tourists – all passionate and thirsty for art. What they don’t know is that behind those walls are waiting frightening creatures which are just as thirsty. The prey is being led to the main hall by the so-called tour guide – also known as Heidi. Jane and Alec are considered as the ultimate guards, they are sticking by their three leaders to protect and serve them forever. They rarely ever leave the museum, and when they do, it is mostly very secretive. Not only that they enforce the rules – but they also follow them, which means they only dare to go behind the estate walls after dark. Their lifestyle is still kept very conservative; they keep to themselves, always wear long dark hoods to make sure the sun is nowhere near their pale skin, and they never awake any suspicion.
