DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: As a human, Schuyler was all the same. She was five feet, six inches tall. Where she was keeping a balanced weight a women should keep. About one-hundred and twenty-six pounds. Never going over the limit. Her mother always demanded she keep a lean figure and never go over-weight. While her features. Her beautiful features she received from her mother, was the sculpted heart-shaped face. With that, her skin also came from her mother. The finely milk white skin; the porcelain doll skin. With the hair, she got it from her father. The dark brown, dark black raven hair. It was dark, yet had the tint of blue. Which shined like the night sky. Schuyler's hair was always worn down to the middle of her back. just below her shoulders. Very curly, the bouncy curls swung in the wind when she played in the fields. She was like a young maiden.
A vampire. The same sculpted and finely chiseled, heart-shaped face. A lean body that towers about the average height of a coming of aged women, five foot, six inches. Not that very tall, but not that short. A vampire changes every little feature about ones self. Schuyler is not that heavy anymore, she weights to about one-hundred and nineteen pounds. She weighs so little, because her diet is only human blood which keeps her weight balanced since she is only seventeen in appearance. Her hair had stayed it's regular, dark brown. With the tint of blue that looked like the night sky. Only the tint was more shinier. Made her features stand out more. Even though her vampire transformation made her features even more beautiful than before.
CLOTHING STYLE: Her typical style of clothing was the same as every girl's in the mid-1600's. The dresses at the parties. The elegant gowns. And the morning and afternoon semi-formal dresses. Ones that were just small coats laced over white gowns. Where she played out in the sun all day, the white under dress flowing in the gentle breeze while she played tag with her big brother and her friends. She was the typical noble mid-1600's girl.
Schuyler's dress, however changed drastically over the decades that she passed. From the girl that was running around in the flowing dresses. She transformed when she became a vampire. She turned to liking more darker things. The clothing she wore were of black or pastel colors. On occasion she would wear her old dresses she saved from her home from long ago. Though, she tends to be, what you call, an outcast. But she talks to everyone, and everyone loves her. Her clothing consist of black mostly. However, not to the extremes. She wears long skirts, dark colors, with black tee-shirts or dark colored sweaters. Knitted ones. She swears jeans on occasion, but other than that, she sticks to the basics of an outsider. She still attends school, and even though she is sixteen and doesn't age, she still has the looks to graduate.
PERSONALITY
LIKES: Schuyler likes the night stars and moon when it's in any stage. Writing poetry and reading books give her some time to herself and she loves it, along with painting landscapes and people. All variety of music she finds interesting, and playing all types of musical instruments is her specialty. She likes being out with her friends. Schuyler likes cooking, when she was still human the head cook in her house would spend time with her and show her how to make food. And she also likes traveling the world, as she has been to many, many places in the 300 years she has lived.
DISLIKES: Schuyler has a wide variety of things she doesn't like. A long list of things includes incests, rudeness, werewolves, rumors and gossip, hot humid weather, girly men, stubborn people that are just as stubborn as her, broken promises, cigarettes and the smell of them, animal cruelty, criticism, religious people, and riding side saddled.
STRENGTHS: The strengths that Schuyler has is her love for people close to her. Her brute honesty towards others. Her stupidity for forgiving others easily, the great passion she has for things and her appreciation of beauty and excellence.
WEAKNESSES: Weaknesses are some things that Schuyler is not proud of, but she has a short temper, she is very stubborn and is very naïve. She has a love for small animals, so if they get hurt, she looses it. Schuyler gets very nervous around tell, lean yet built men. Blonde haired, blue eyed males. And her biggest weakness is losing loved ones.
QUIRKS/HABITS: Schuyler has a lot of different habits that she can't get rid of. She bites her nails whenever she gets nervous. Fidgeting when she does something unexplainable. When she gets frustrated, she blows air out of her mouth, like huffing very loudly.
BEST KEPT SECRET: Schuyler was the one that let all of the barn horses (all 46 of them) out into the fields, which her father went ballistic over, because he thought it was her brother.
AN IMPORTANT MEMORY: Schuyler's mother always told her to be strong when in the face of danger. They talked for hours on end and talked about life and the ways of a women and her mother told her that women are stronger when they have something to protect.
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Ever since her fiance died, she has been single and has never found love. Hoping some day that may come and she will find a mate.
OVERALL: As a fallen one from nobility. Schuyler was once arrogant in her state of nobility. She was a vibrant young girl living in a fantasy world. Where the parties and extravagant life was. She got what she wanted and was a bit greedy, yet she was kind and gentle. Humble at the most. Schuyler loved to be with people. Mostly with her family, but with her friends too. On the other side, she is oblivious to the small things and just feels like she is simply misunderstood since she does not cooperate fully. Her moods when she was human were always haywire, where she was a bit spoiled. That was a typical, average human in the 1600's, and there wasn't anything special about it.
However, change. Change in so many direction. Being fierce and more noble. Being ever more humble and thoughtful. Silent and calculating. How the change can change you to become someone completely the same, yet completely different. Being changed had lead Schuyler to being untrusted, mistrusted. Somewhat distant when it came to people who become a bit to close to her. You could say she was a loner, but she really wasn't. She did, very much like a human, wanted to become accepting with people. Liked, for the most part. Wanted friends, but already felt the betrayal from many people that held her heart so long ago. She would never harm people, as from her experiences in the past, which leads her to cherish the connections she establishes with new people. How very different. From her human self, Schuyler is more cold than bright. Yet shines in the light when people look at her. Grabs their attention, even though she just wants to stand there. The same attention she received when she was so young... when she was human.
Schuyler is for the most deep part. A calm person in front of humans. She shows power, from her eyes, her posture. She does not let her nobility go. Even if she knows showing too much is a bad things. It was in her blood to do so. She was taught by her mother to show it. To demand it, but now, Schuyler suppresses it. In front of humans, she's in tuned with them, being more friendly and likable. When she is alone, however, she's quiet and collected. She thinks to herself. Keeps her opinions in. But when she is in front of people, she sometimes releases the flames and shows a spark. Something that people see very often.
The girl's taste in art and history have not changed. The way the world was in the past, she still adores. She still acts like she is from the past some times. Never steering wrong. She likes the paintings, the horse-back riding. The manners and etiquette her mother instilled on her. She would never forget. Schuyler has not changed in some aspects. She still thinks a sword is more noble than a gun that was made to replace the steel that was made by fire and minerals. Fencing, is one of her favorite sports. The sweat and elegance always intrigues her interest. Though, now-a-days, she has tuned herself into showing more of her likes for the present items. The music. She adores the rock music. The screaming music. It gives off a pleasure that people know the pain you've been threw, yet, she knows it's all unrealistic. But, she likes the classical music as well. The musical instruments that give off a pleasant feeling. The sympathies. She loves it all. The internet that was made, has caught her interest, that she downloads basically everything that she can find. Varieties after varieties.
Schuyler is a girl of many features and aspects. A split between two different times and settings. One she can't forget and one she tries desperately to cling onto and forge a new being in. She takes into herself all she can and wants acceptance in her life. From mere humans, that she tries to cherish so much. She is a one-of-a-kind. Or maybe.. there might be someone out there that truly will accept her and open her shell. Or maybe, that person is already deep in her thoughts that she already knows the one who can. Who knows in this day and age?
HISTORY
MOTHER: Allegra Van Alen, deceased, current foster mother, Carol Hitchings
FATHER: Basilio Van Alen, deceased
SIBLINGS: Leone Van Alen, deceased
OTHERS OF IMPORTANCE: William of Lloyd, deceased fiancée (missing?)
OVERALL HISTORY: Years and years before. Years and years behind, we lived the lives of the extravagant . The ones that lived to see the day of the dawn. The day of the night. We lead lives of the flowing gowns. The facial masks. The masks that made the balls so vibrant, yet so dark. The chilling gossip, the cold nights with the carriage wheels rolling against the cobble stone and the horses hooves clicking their way down the stone road. However, the history of the Italian, the high order Italian, would never be, or maybe will be, the history of the one who was there. She who thought she had it all, she who thought she was fine at where her life was leading, was one that would never expect what would happen in her life. She thought nothing of something so dark, yet so beautiful would happen to her life.
Now with a mother that was as glamorous as the sun. With the milk white skin; skin as porcelain. A face shaped as a heart, and eyes, a soft blue like the crystal clear oceans. And the hair, the blond hair that was as light as the sand. Allegra, the mother that treasured her daughter. Shaped her into the daughter that she always wanted. Her mother was a rough women when it came to etiquette's and manners. When it came to all sorts of lessons. Her mother wanted the best for daughter and when she thought of this, she despised her mother. However she loved her at the same time. Her mother was like a goddess.
The father, however, was a man of dignity. A man that was as harsh as the hurricane winds of the summer. Basilio was a man like no other. Aside from the king. He was a very caring person when it came to her. She was his only daughter and prize possession. Basilio was a duke for Ferdinand II. He stayed by the King's side through thick and thin and was a man of respect and devotion. He would do anything for his king and was the right hand man. Basilio was also the in standing commander of the imperial army. Being away from his family saddened the noble man, however he knew his duty to his king and to his land.
A brother of high standing, standing in his fathers foot-steps. A man of moral respect. One that would tease his little sister like a brother should. Leone was her big brother. The boy who was becoming a man and following his father's foot-steps, even though he did not want to. He was always pushed into doing what he never wanted to do. Pushed into doing lessons he despised. Both brother and sister were the same in many aspects. A little too the same. And his love for her was great. Greater than his fathers. You could say, he loved his sister and found that he loved her like a women, instead of a little sister. She did not know this, though she loved her brother like a little sister should. However, fate had taken toll on everything in time.
Lastly, a man with grace and nobility. One that loved her like no other. Not even comparing to her brother. A man of noble English blood. Who stood in the courts and received all glances from women and men a like. A man that left a room in pure silence when he walked into it. Where you could hear a pin needle drop. That mans name was William. Oh how his curly golden locks of hair curled down the nape of his neck. How the soft, gentle, yet cold liquid blue eyes melted her flesh from her bones. She swayed, and many other women, to his noble posture and his gentle attitude. He was a man of every woman's dreams. And he was her dream. Her dream that haunted her very nightmare from that night on. Her fiance.
Now where do all these pawns fit into? Where do they all lead too?
Schuyler Van Alen. Seventeen and four days. Her beauty marveled that of her mothers. Her dignity and forward attitude came from that of her father. She was a girl that was perfect for a rich Englishman's son. Schuyler had more than most and was very happy with her life. She lived in large mansion that was at the end of the a city in Italy. Her father was a Duke and her mother, a Duchess. Basilio and Allegra. Two very high-ranking people. Her father was the king's best friend for the most parts. Her mother was a beautiful figure in the courts of Italy with the dashing young and old women. While her brother, Leone was to follow his father's foot-steps, and Schuyler was to be married off to a English nobleman's son. It was the life for a princess, which Schuyler thought.
A late night, cold and breathless. There was a ball. A masquerade ball. A ball that held countless beauties. Beautiful gowns swaying around and around with the dance of a waltz. To the music of the old. The demons conversed, the ones that hidden under the flesh and blood hid among the normal with great grace. How that night was the beginning of something new and the end of something so precious. It was the night that hosted Schuyler's seventeenth birthday. Her coming of age party. Where a girl was becoming a women and where she would be handed off to her fiance, William.
Her father arranged for the noble court to show up and the King himself. And of course. The king had showed up with his wife and children. Children that Schuyler knew since she was born, for they were as old as her. However, the night was lead to blood and terror. So much blood covered the beautiful marble floor. The glass chandler scattered around everyone, accept, for a few, who managed to escape under the dark shadows of the night.
When the clock struck midnight the doors had shot open. The windows had slammed open. It was like a horror film, where the chilling wind blew out all the candles. Some screams had come from the shrill voices of the young and old women. Some men tried to clam them down, but when one scream was louder than all, everything was silent. Then, like a chain, a series of lights were light back up and the King was assassinated. But that wasn't all. After everyone got a good look, the lights were blown back out and screams were heard again. People scurrying around, knocking over others. The high-heeled shoes of the women stepping into the people on the floor, actually killing some. Though, one thing was there and was killing off one human at a time. And since everyone was wearing masks, it was easy to just pick off one at a time.
While everyone was screaming their heads off and running around, Schuyler was trying to find her brother and her parents. Again, though, everything went silent and Schuyler sat on the floor, terrified of moving. But a masked figure walked in front of her. Which she knew there was someone in front of her, kneeling in front of her. She tried not to scream, tried not to back off. So she became stiff as a statue, trying not to move. The creature however, sensed everything about her being. Sensed what she wanted to do. With this, he grabbed a hold of his forearm and pulled her over towards him, smashing his lips against hers, their masks clacking against each other. Schuyler was stunned. She did nothing but scream when he let go of her lips and bit her neck. Which she thought was weird until she felt sharp fangs seep into her flesh and burn her entire body. She was doomed for life, with beauty and ease. She was doomed with something unchangeable. She was knocked out after the man was finished. The next day she was changed forever. She was a v a m p i r e.
Forever changed, forever gifted. Forever for all eternity. Was she now a vampire and the next morning she saw it. Saw the blood, the ripped bodies. Of her dearly beloved. Her father, mother, and brother. The king and his family. The magnificence people that she knew since she was born. They were gone. Except for a few. She knew why after a while. Knew that they were the same as her and knew they had to leave. They got out in time. And she was left, to be turned for some unknown reasons. Why did that thing, that she was just like, change her? And why did she not find the body of her dear fiance. Why?
She knew nothing, but when she roamed the streets at night after that day, she saw them, learned from them. For she decided to be alone to herself. Of course she would make friends. But she would never be in a clan and has never changed anyone. When she feeds off the blood of humans, she is not like most vampires. Using tools that have been forged, she drains the blood through means of draining the blood out with IV's and such. Glamoring the human so they would not object, then leaving them in the early of the morning. Before the recent technology advancement, she would kill her prey, always in mourn when doing so. Her nobility refused to be stained with the blood of animals, which in the mind of Schuyler's was weak and peasant-like. After years and years, she went from place to place, roamed the world as she wanted to and finally ended up in the America's. Moving from place to place. Foster homes to be exact. And now, she's gotten to the most rainiest place in the country. Washington. She would live there and meet new surprises. All different sorts.
