shiloh is gifted with the amazing ability of compulsion, meaning she can manipulate the minds and memories of others and bend them to her will. like puppets really. all she has to do is look a person in the eye and tell them what she wants them to do and they really have no choice but to it. it's like mind control, but different. once the person looks into her eyes, they can't look away and they kind of go into a trance like state in which their eyes glaze over and they repeat what she wants them to do. sadly, this requires eye contact and it depends on how strong the will of the being is. she can use this on anyone and any species, but if the being is older than her than it takes a lot more energy to compel them.

shiloh rumer delacroix was born on the fifteenth of september in paris, france. the exact year is unknown. her parents, amaury klaus delacroix and anne josephine delacroix, were both well off people, but they never had all the money that they wanted so the bargained their only two children, shiloh and aiden delacroix who was three years older than her, to a wealthy woman they knew to be a vampire. in return, they would gain riches beyond their wildest dreams. but in the end, they got something even more priceless. death. the woman killed them for almost going back on their deal and she burned their belongings and their bodies.
bernadette lenore was a vampire that was turned at the young age of twenty seven years old. she never got the chance to have children of her own and she was three hundred and thirty five years old before she got the chance to actually persuade a family to give up their children to her. bernadette raised aiden and shiloh like they were her own. they never had to want for anything because anything they would ever want was given to them without a second thought. shiloh loved bernadette. she had no recollection of their parents at all seeing as she was so young and neither did her brother who was only three years old when they gave them up to her. they were never told the truth about why they were given up and what their parents would have received in return for them. they were just told that their parents knew they couldn't offer them anything and that was that. bernadette told them everything as the years went by. she had no choice seeing as they were changing and she never was. they took it better than most people, but they were scared of her at first, like anyone would be. though she said she only drank the blood of animals, the thought of winding up as a meal scared them. they finally got over their fear when they realized that she had had multiple chances to kill them and she never had. they settled back down into their life and never worried about it again.

she was walking home from a party and it was storming outside. an old man had offered to give her a ride home, but she declined it. she loved the rain and her home wasn't far from the party. the thunder boomed and lightning struck and she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the shadow of a large animal in front of her. it had bright red eyes from what she could see, but it was so black she couldn't make anything else out. it growled, but ran away from her with foot steps that sounded like rocks falling. she started to walk again, but stopped mid-step as she felt something hit her hard. lightning.
the necklace she wore had a metal chain and when she had stepped out from under a roof, lightning met her there. bernadette had been there and saw what happened and rushed to her adopted daughter's aid. she had no choice but to turn her and she did. three days later, shiloh woke up dead, but alive. she had woken up at the same time her brother did. bernadette had turned him as well so shiloh wouldn't have to watch her brother grow old and die. they stayed with bernadette for four hundred and eleven years before they were attacked by humans who considered themselves expert vampire hunters. shiloh and aiden split away from bernadette and never saw or heard from her ever again. they believed that she had been shot with one of the flaming arrows the hunters had had and shiloh mourned her possible death while aiden couldn't have cared less. he hated her for turning him and never forgave her for it, though he never voiced his hatred for her.
the duo, plus three more vampires named sofia, emma and georgia, settled down in forks in eighteen forty eight and they were among some of the original settlers. though they were accepted into the town without any problems, their beauty, grace and wealth made them a popular topic in discussions. five months into their stay in forks, shiloh came across a dying man in the woods named matthew porter. he had fallen on his ax and it had nearly sliced his heart open. he was close to death as shiloh bit him and turned him. the two fell in love and became mates, getting married fifteen years later and shiloh taking on matthew's last name. the coven of six left forks, but returned in nineteen forty five when forks, washington was officially named a town. they didn't stay long, but during their stay shiloh turned another man named daniel who had been in a terrible car accident that had paralyzed him from the waist down. he disappeared from the coven a week later and no one heard a word from him again, but they didn't honestly care. they soon left again, but they have settled down for the third time in forks and intend to support carlisle cullen and his coven for as long as they are needed.

the sweetheart, the all american girl. all names that people have given her. shiloh has always been that sweet little girl that cares for everyone around her. she is very compassionate and motherly, always looking for ways to help others out when they need her the most. she never fails to be the mother figure for someone and she is the person who would let you come cry on her shoulder if no one else would offer you their shoulder. her priority has always been the people around her and that hasn't changed in her seven hundred and eighty six years of life. she is highly intelligent and she knows what move you are going to make before you even make it. she knows how to calculate her chances and it would take a mind reader to beat her at her game. though she is a sweet heart, she also has that side to her that won't hesitate to rip your throat out and break your neck at the same time. it takes a lot to get her that angry, but when you do you have the devil on your hands.
but shiloh is like a double edge knife. she has the side that you rarely see, the bad, the manipulative bitch side. if you piss her off ever, she is the type of girl that will leave you hanging out to dry when you need her the most, but the type that would also turn back around at the last second and save your skinny ass from death so she can kill you herself. she only ever helps the people who have pissed her off when she knows that she is going to get something out of it as well and she is sure to get her cut from what you owe her and if she doesn't get it then it will be your ass hanging over her fireplace. she can be quite the little snob, seeing as she was born into money and has a shitload of it that has built up over time. but like i said, that is the side she has locked up and you hardly ever see it. she is also wild and rebellious. she loves to have fun and she isn't against a little rule breaking for a good time. she likes to let loose and her positive thinking is what gets her through the whole vampire thing. she likes to think on the bright side of things and a conversation with her never turns for the dark side unless she is trying to get to join it with the promise of free cookies and brownies.
